The room smells bad. If I didn’t need a place to work during the day, I would check out after one night. Shower is not sealed, so there was water all over the floor when I got out. I know that hotel is under some sort of renovation, but the stench of urine is just too much. It is not a $100+/day hotel

Bad experience
Place was too noisy, also my room had a damage ceiling, probably turning into mold. Also no TV, the network was down it was a terrible experience will not stay at that place ever. I checked in by 5:00 pm, by 6:30 pm I checked out. Bad experience.

The hotel was a complete disappointment. Felt more like a college dorm. Rooms were subpar and not well appointed and we didn’t have heat in the room - unacceptable in NYC in the winter.

Not a "tech city" friendly hotel.
Aloft used to be a great chain, but it seems to be stuck in the last decade. WiFi in room didn't work, only the lobby. TV had no way to stream or mirror to it (had the option but TV wasn't hooked up to the Internet). No HDMI available, which seems pretty basic these days. I was asked if I'd like a high or low floor, and I said, "whatever is quieter." I ended up next to the elevator with a view of a big open pit construction site. (I guess avoid staying here for the next couple of years!)
