Ocean Suites Jeju Hotel

I thought the hotel was great! The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet hit the spot each morning. It's really close and walkable to a lot of restaurants and shopping. What I didn't like was the massage service. They falsely advertise aromatherapy massages and charge you the same amount for 60 min of that which is the same amount as a 90 min deep tissue massage. They'll insist on aromatherapy and then not provide the service.

Location is perfect. Room and service were great.

There are many restaurants and bars nearby the hotel in walking distance. Massage service at the hotel is excellent. One caveat is that their 'ocean view deluxe room' is not entirely ocean view. It actually faces more toward city. You have to look out at a certain angle to get the view of ocean.

Our room was large and clean. The hotel is few minutes away from Jeju airport and in the Jeju city, making it pretty comfortable to go around quite easily. The breakfast buffet was good and service in general was nice.

Richard was extremely helpful. He helped us with our luggage and getting settled in our room. He also helped me reserve seats on a tour. Finally, he helped us get a taxi ride and inquired if we had reached our destination.

Fairly convenient to local attractions. Did not like the dredging work that was being done on the waterfront, but window soundproofing was decent to minimize disturbance. Work stops around 4pm so it does not interrupt with sleep.

Booked a twin deluxe with ocean view but what we got was twin deluxe with partial view of port and parking lot. NOT what was presented in the photos. Asked for a refund of the difference but mgt only offered to move us to "non view" room for non-view price. Rooms nice and large; bathroom tiny by comparison, and shower drain in wrong place so water goes all over the bathroom floor. Location is convenient to airport but beware it is basically in the unattractive commercial port area. If you're planning on seeing the rest of the island you'll spend at least 20 minutes (by cab) before you even get to the outskirts of town.

Great hotel but the bed was a bit on the hard side. Overall we enjoyed our stay
