Unacceptable, £90 per night, no shoes allowed.
Asked to take my shoes off as I struggled through the front door with all my bags and cases as I arrived is not a nice greeting, especially when your shoes are clean and have driven for 5 hours, worked all day and then had a hard workout. This is unacceptable for paying customers, or hygienic for that matter, I had to walk to my room in socks, I took their word that their carpet was clean and free from viruses. When I complained and told them it’s ridiculous and disgusting they said with my attitude they may ask me to leave, I suspect they couldn’t do without my money so it was an empty threat. The room was ok but full of signs don’t do this and do that, never seen so many rules. I didn’t go for breakfast for the 3 nights I was there as I was made to feel so uncomfortable.

This IS the worst B&B I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Cherub Suite, but there was nothing angelic about this accommodation, at £85 a night it was a disgrace. On arrival a sign in the hallway asked that we remove our shoes, then another sign propped on stairs asking again, no slippers provided until you reached the room. Freezing cold room, Camp beds with a mattress, Duvet was the thinnest I have ever seen, Sheets old and unironed. No bath, shower was separated by a curtain from main room and kitchen, the only door was to the toilet, that had the smallest sink making washing or cleaning teeth a task. Cobwebs all round the ancient shades and mismatched bulbs. Paint on the old radiators was peeling off, the only plug socket was at the side of an old wardrobe, which was difficult to reach. TV screen was smeared, and TV only had five channels. The overall condition of this room was scummy,
