Loud, Helpful, Great Location
One of the biggest perks to this location is its proximity to the subway lines into Manhattan. Just a short 5 minute walk to the N line with good dining and coffee options nearby, the local area is great for the price of staying here. The staff was also very helpful our first 3 nights when our door lock refused to work with any issued keys. At hours between 12am and 3am the staff was always ready to help get us in until the problem resolved itself. The biggest downside to this hotel is the noise. It was like the walls were literally made of paper as even moderate conversations could be heard next door. Couple this with loud spring beds, children, active remodeling, and I would highly suggest anyone booking here bring earplugs if you want a good night's sleep. Overall, Hotel Vetiver is what you would expect for a cheaper hotel in NYC.

Since there are no coffee makers in the room, one would expect a decent cup of coffee to be found in the lobby. This is not the case, it’s awful. Nor will you find hot water in the urn labeled ‘Hot Water’ in the lobby, only tepid water.

Good for a short stay
I was cancelled at La Guardian 3 times in a day and needed a place to stay. This was close. The hotel was in good shape but the room was pretty small as most are in the City. It has all that you need though. There aren’t a ton of amentities but the staff is friendly and the hotel looks updated.

It was great. It would have been nice to be able to check in early as we arrived at 9 a.m.
