Excellent home base for experiencing San Jose!
Fantastic location for exploring the town! We had three rooms, one above the pool, and two across the street. Both sides are nicely done. I'm told by our friends that the rooms across the street do let in some of the night life sounds, but it wasn't too bad, and wasn't all night long.

The property is a beautiful older Mexican courtyard hotel. Staff was excellent rooms were clean. conveniently located to dining, the Arts District, and the main plaza. on the down side its some distance from the ocean, the location is noisy at nigjt until midnight, and the facility allows smoking outside the rooms in the courtyard and around the pool which is a big negative in my opinion.
