The City Hotel, Dunfermline
Mostly locals and karaoke. Noisy!
Our room was sort of tired, and needed upgrading. It was very small, and wifi was spotty. The "Free Parking" applies to the street (good luck) and a few spots behind the hotel, which were all taken. We had to pay. No help offered with our luggage as we carried it up a few flights. Breakfast was superb, with friendly staff.

Uncomfortable hard bed
All appeared fine at first. There is no elevator because the building is so old. Lots of stairs, which is fine, but cumbersome with luggage. It’s in the old city center which makes it quaint, but it was also noisy out on the streets. The bed was awful. It was hard and lumpy. The plus side was walking to the park and Dunfermline Abbey. Food in the restaurant was decent and the staff friendly. Overall, would stay here again because of the bed and street noise.

Hotel very nice food was fantastic and being refurbished and looking very good. Room comfortable for our overnight stay. Hotel in a really good location as we were going to the Alhambra theatre for a show and within walking distance.

Great hotel and location
Fabulous location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Modern reception, bistro and restaurant area but rooms dated however I understand these are about to be upgraded which is great. Would definitely stay here again.
