Great stay
The only problem was construction on the street, messy and muddy. Quiet, A few 5 blocks from plaza del armas, the neighboors could use a make over.

A gem
This is a great hotel. Very authentic and clean. Rooms had a rustic but with modern amenities. The courtyards are absolutely stunning. The service is awesome and very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

This place left a lot to be desired
We were disappointed in this hotel. To be fair, we were influenced by our previous hotel, which was much better and cheaper; This hotel was nice though. There is street work being done in front of it. This is not the hotel's fault, and the work should be completed soon, but it made it inconvenient to stay there. Also, this hotel is much farther away from Plaza de Armas, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Their wifi was very bad, and they said it was because it was an old colonial building. However, I think with a good router, they could easily solve this. Their breakfast was terrible. Sorry, but they just cannot cook well (I don't know how you screw up a plain omelette, other than make it oily and burned with no cheese..), their presentation is highly lacking, and you have to go and knock on the kitchen door to ask for coffee. When we requested a third bed in the room, they said we would have to pay an extra $35 USD per night. The bathroom in the room did not have a door on it, which was weird. The tv in the room had terrible reception. When we requested an early wake up call for an important hike, the guy at the front desk slept in and never woke us up. Luckily, we woke up by ourselves, and found him sound asleep on the couch downstairs. After our commotion woke him up, I politely mentioned to him that we were supposed to have a wake up call, and he responded "No". Upon request, they did finally upgrade our room and give us a late checkout, which we appreciated.

The two ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and so accommodating especially when I needed to stay an extra night. The breakfast was delicious, generous, and varied. Cuzco is such a lovely city!

GREAT comfortable hotel w/in blocks of centre!
The area is just off from the noisy street and there are the usual comforts minutes away. Both day front desk personnel Carina and Marcille (sp?) were extremely helpful at check-in, with suggestions in the area, arranging our transportation and checking our baggage for storage. The complimentary breakfast was the best compared to the other places we stayed in in Peru. We like this hotel so much that we stayed here after returning from Machu Picchu!!! The rooms are comfortable, clean and worth more than what we paid!!!
