Hotel Ceilidh-Donia - Townhouse Hotel, Edinburgh
Charming B&B
Loved everything!! Owners are very welcoming, lovely room, kettle and tea&coffee to make yourself after a day in the town. Breakfast is simply amazing and you really have to enjoy it!! 10 min by bus from the Princess Street, this lovely b&b is in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed only one night but I wish to stay more. Definitely a place to come back when visiting Edinburgh the next time.

Great Experience at the Ceilidh-Donia B&B
The customer service was outstanding! The staff, Shona and Ealy (not sure of the proper spelling), worked very hard to ensure that our stay there was an overall positive experience. When we first arrived, our room was located on the second floor with several flights of stairs to climb. My husband suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and had a difficult time climbing the stairs. As soon as the staff member noticed his struggle, they immediately reassigned us to the ground floor which was an upgrade at no additional cost to us. Their breakfasts were delicious with many options to choose from. The staff made dinner reservations for us at a great restaurant on Castle Street to include taxi services.

Very Good8.0
Surprisingly Charming
Selected Ceilidh-Donia for a quick stopover in Edinburgh. First impression when we entered the room was how small it was. But as we started to use the space, we discovered that the small space was used amazingly well. We had been in 5 other accommodations in Scotland previous to this one and this was the first one that had a fan in the room. Usually wouldn't need one in Scotland, but they were having a 24 degree C warm snap that created muggy nights, so the fan was a nice touch. We previously had a room on Skye where it would have been nice to have a fan. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection of continental and cooked items. Overall, kind of a hybrid between hotel and B&B - Charming, personal service of B&B, with a designated front desk (open till 10pm) like a hotel.

Nice quite out of the fray of the city center, but close to bus and other transportation. Great welcoming staff. I would stay again.
