Efficiently checked in but when asked about the price difference was told it was a tip for the housekeepers. That should be an option based on the cleanliness of the room. My husband asked the morning desk clerk for a toothbrush and more coffee and was treated like he was from Mars. The desk clerk acted as if he had never been asked for those things before. And was very stingy with the coffee and refused to give my husband the number of bags that he asked for. The desk clerk told my husband that coffee was ready in the dining room. The pool and hot tub were closed the day we stayed as well. That should have been disclosed because we probably would have chosen another place to stay.

There were a lot of choices in this area, and I'm pleased with my choice. The outter facade of the hotel offers a warm welcoming feel. Once inside, the manager was quick to check me in, and also put me in a room close to a side door so I can go outside to smoke. The bed was very comfortable, as was the pillow. The room had a microwave and mini fridge, which had I been staying longer, would have come in handy. Although near the freeway, my room was rather quiet. The breakfast was an expanded continental, with eggs, sausage and waffle press, as well as cereal, muffins and bagels. The hours of breakfast could have been longer as it ended at 9AM, and I felt like I rushed to get there. Next time I'm in Topeka I will definitely stay here.

The hotel allowed me to check in about 3 hours early, which was beneficial as I had a lot of work to do. The room was clean, and modern. The bathroom provided little space. Thankfully the a/c and heater worked as it was chilly in the area. Being right off the freeway, I expected some noise, but it was actually really quiet. The breakfast in the AM was a little more than continental, but nothing fancy. I would stay here again if needed.
