Ignorant Housekeeping staff
I chose this Choice property instead of a beachfront accommodation with lesser price per night, because the location is far from the tourist traffic and noise. My fellow-guests were quite all night. However, this property's Housekeeping staff is ignorant of the industry they are employed in. I set my alarm for 10 am, but I was awaken by the noisy Housekeeping staff screaming in the hallway and vacuuming adjacent rooms that were checked-out already. If this property hires Season Workers from Jamaica or Russia and other Asian countries, who sent workers to the US to do jobs they do not have the Formal Training, then this property Housekeeping Managers should train these students/workers properly, to ensure that the delivery of service to their guests is being executed correctly. I was awaken with a high blood pressure. This is not what Choice Hotels meant as "Rested and Refresh". I was better off staying at home with our dogs barking all night and I would not have to spent money.

Kind of a rip-off
This is basically a no-frills motel trying to pass as something it is not. The free breakfast they advertise is actually a few of those supermarket biscuits that come in a pack of 5 or 6 + coffee. It's all on a table right next to the front desk. There are no chairs or tables to eat or even much space to stand. I guess you are expected to grab your cold biscuit and go. And you better get there early because they don't replace them once they're gone. The bathtub had 1 inch wide caulking, and the faucets were almost ancient. The beds sagged in the middle. I wouldn't mind so much if it had been as cheap as a Days Inn, but they charged more than double what I expect from a motel of this quality. This one cost more than the typical Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard by Marriott just because it is close to Myrtle Beach (25 min).

Friendly staff and very clean rooms. The pool was in prestine shape and very clean as well. Though it could use a little upgrading, the place was great for the price. Will definately stay there in january when i return to myrtle beach.

Unhappy with Econo Lodge
The rooms where filthy, They where not like the pictures at all. The weekend staff very unhelpful and Rude. When I tried to stay another night the staff lied and said there was no more rooms available, so I went on line and found Us another room. After speaking with the other staff, found out that she had lied there was still 10 rooms available. The only good thing about the stay was they were pet friendly.
