Avoid this hotel
I've been staying at most of the hotels at Bournemouth seaside by now, trying to find a decent one to stay at as i'm here for a long period. This hotel is by far the worst of them all, the beds are really uncomfortable, you can't get an iron so you have to take your clothes to the third floor in the morning were there's an ironing room, breakfast is terrible the room was clean but the most run down i've seen so far, my colleague had the same impression and we won't be returning to this hotel again.

Good Location but disappointing hotel room.
The Staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful as possible ...... However really disappointed with the room. The room was meant to be a double room, but was tiny, like a corridor, the bed turned out to be 2 singles pushed together The room was sweltering hot,no air con at all, there was an electric desk fan, which we used, but it made no difference, as the room was so hot and made it an extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. Really disappointed, not good value for money. The hotel was fully booked, so no chance of changing the room, plus the 2nd floor was boiling hot. The Spa facilities were ok. The only good thing about the hotel was its location - only 5 min walk to the beach and pier. We tried to avoid the room as much as possible, so spent most of the time in the Hallmark hotel next door, which had air con and a garden bar with beautiful balcony and sea views. Will return to Bournemouth but not to the Queens Spa hotel as such a disappointing experience :(

dissapointed
The stay was spoilt by the rip off scam of charging you a £50 deposit although you have already paid on arrival. Then no room/bar costs are taken from the deposit. The hotel then holds the deposit in their account for a non-specified time. The Jacuzzi in the hotel Spar being our main reason for a short stay, was not working.

The hotel needs a facelift, the rooms are drab old fashioned furniture the walls are dirty carpets thread bear. The bathroom in our room stank of damp the fan didn't work the light over the bathroom mirror didn't work I sleep with the window open there was a sign on the glass do not open window its broken. We reported this at the desk but nothing was done we kept getting the keys changed as they weren't working reported it to the desk they treated like kids saying did you have it near your phone I've been in enough hotels to know you keep it separate. Eventually they put us in another room the decor wasn't much better but it didn't stink. I wouldn't rush back there

Overall okay.
The room was a decent size but the TV was quite small compared to the one I had seen in pictures. On arrival the window wouldn't open, but after mentioning it to the hotel it was fixed promptly. The window opened scarily wide with no safety latch and when looking out the window my other half almost fell out due to a large gust of wind and considering we were high up... It made me uncomfortable. The bed was comfy but the bed sheets were itchy and even when replaced... Were still itchy. The door handle to our room also broke off and was incredibly loose but was fixed. Overall the stay was okay, but I was expecting a little bit more for the price. Furthermore, there was little to no parking outside the hotel during my stay, and although the nearby pay parking wasn't far, it was a little walk which wasn't great considering we had a lot of bags. The location was okay, but we were rudely awoken at 6am by the local glass bottle collectors, so if you don't want to be woken up by the local bin men, check the collection dates before your stay. The area and attractions around the hotel are really lovely, Bournemouth is definitely a place I would recommend, but next time I go, I won't be staying at this hotel.
