Great for families with children 2-8 years old
Hotel was outside the main city making for a nice quiet room. The room was large and they already set up the 2 beds for our kids (2 and 4) on the ground so we didn't have to worry about the younger one falling out of bed. The breakfast was good and worth the small charge. Kids eat free so it was a great deal for our small family. They have a great playground outside and an awesome indoor play place that kept our children entertained while we waited for museums and attractions to open in York (a 30 to 40 minute drive). I gave it a 4 because the room was a little rundown and needed some repairs. Great value for the money.

suits a purpose
this is the only place to stay for us in selby so we can see relatives. It serves a purpose, however, we paid for the extra breakfast which was very average. The pastries were ok but when the breakfast arrived, although our order was correct, the quality and presentation was not great (sausages were really nice) we did complain to reception staff(who were all lovely) and we did receive a refund for the breakfast. We will stay again, however this is because there are no other options to accommodate a family room, but we will not be purchasing the breakfast

Would not stay here again. The room had a horrible smell which I found out it was the waste pipe in the bathroom which had leaked, the bath leaked all over the floor when it was emptied, The bed sheets had stains all over them. Not very nice at all!!
