Cabin was quite small; opted for larger unit
Kiwis are familiar with what to expect from a holiday or tourist park, but Yanks could stand to know that a cabin can be quite a bit smaller than what they might expect, and that linens are not usually provided. Pay attention to the fact that facilities are shared; they were a decent walk away if you have to go in the middle of the night! The staff was friendly and the unit we ultimately rented was clean.

got to the camping ground to find that what I thought I was booking wasn't what I got and had to pay an extra $30.00 to get a deluxe cabin which I was booked for.

Great for a short stay
Busy touring park but provided what was needed - be aware that when hiring a cabin there is no bedding but I understand this can be rented if needed. Cabin was clean and comfortable - shared showers hot and no extra charge however kitchen and TV room is locked up at 10pm. Peaceful setting - bush walks nearby.

Not again
Very disappointed. We had booked a chalet to sleep 4 the night before (for a family emergency). The website showed the chalet with the beds (fully bedded) and the layout. When we arrived we were directed to no more that a portacom with two sets of buns (single over doubles), small table, wall unit with plates and a jug. We were shown where the shower/toilet/kitchen facilities. We had purposely requested a chalet because one of us is in a wheelchair. We were told `you just make the booking and just get what is still available. I don't pay $200 for two nights to end up in a portacom with limited facilities (I was told by the office) that the portacom was the next step up from a tent. The bedding shown in the chalet on the website is very misleading when there is non provided in most cabins.

Tiny cabin living
This is a camping ground and we stayed in a cabin which was tiny. Linen was not provided which I didn't notice on the booking information so we had to pay $20 to rent it which was fair but noteworthy. We had fun here but the facilities are not well maintained.
