Cultural shock in Okinawa
The front office staff should be trained to communicate with foreigners verbally in plain and simple English. I was disappointed when I was directly wrongly to a place which I sought help from the front office. The place was within proximity to the hotel which I expect the front office to be familiar with the hotel surroundings. The tourist information displayed at the entrance of the hotel was mostly in Japanese. It is difficult to get information in English for a tourist. I had to travel to the Naha Airport to speak to the tourist information counter for information on how to reach a destination which I plan during my trip by bus. Lastly, I noted that my room bin was not cleared in one occasion and my shoe powder was discarded during one of the cleaning by the room attendant.

Bad service standard in our 1st Japanese vacation
Very Tiny room, the double bed provided can only sleep one big-sized person (over 80kg). Bed sheet never been changed over 3 days of stay. Counter staff not helpful at all, initially told us our room booking has been cancelled due to no show on 1st day (our flight was delayed by Typhoon). They only rectify the issue after I pointed out that the payment has been made in full and in advance.

MEETS EXPECTATIONS
Staff doesn't speak much english and one front desk agent wasnt very helpful when i asked him for assistance with finding and using a public payphone but otherwise this hotel was affordable, centrally located, clean, and has a free (asian) sauna! keep in mind this is a business hotel intended for solo businessmen so the rooms and bathrooms within arent very large, overall i enjoyed my stay here and would most likely return.
