Good Value, Great Location base for the Cotswolds
A very pleasant stay and great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect, with an option to sit in an extended conservatory on a sunny day. Grounds are extensive with attractive views. Highly recommended.

I would consider it more of a 3 star not 4 star
The hotel is an old country house and the rooms are very dated but very spacious. In our first room the shower broke during our first night and the safe was not functional. It was quite a stressful situation since we were travelling with our 5 month old baby. The hotel did eventually offer us a functional room, equal to the size and class as our original room and offered to help transfer all our luggage too. I did find that the shelves were dusty and the windows were all streaky, both needed a good thorough clean. Overall I would only rate this as an average hotel, more 3 star than 4 star.

Very nice old property in very good convenient and quiet location. Personnel fairly friendly and relatively well trained. this having been our second visit to the hotel and was nice to return and we will no doubt visit again. Dinner was very good quality, nicely presented with reasonable service 98 although service lacking a little in "finesse". Twin room very large and clean. The mattresses however are extremely soft and not supportive to the extent that the only way in which I could become comfortable was by using some of the bedding for me to sleep on the floor! Premier Inn beds, for instance are normally in our limited experience by far superior ! Hardly a comparison one would expect to make bearing mind the high standard this establishment aims to provide. All that said we still hope to return at some time before too much longer.
