Solid choice
Solid hotel in a great location; near subway, major Tokyo neighborhoods and businesses and good restaurants.

Akasaka APA
Typical Japanese business hotel. Small room but extremely clean. In the middle of business district, so there are hundreds of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Nice area
I gave a high score to this hotel, but I wouldn't stay there again. Main reason - the pillows are flat and are very uncomfortable. Wi-fi was spotty, and the room was very tight. There are plenty of hotels in Tokyo in the same price range with more comfortable rooms. Pro's: very nice area with lots of restaurants, and a short walk to the subway. The breakfast was delightful.

Too small
Most affordable hotels in Japan have small rooms, but APA has to be one of the smallest for the price. I've been traveling to Japan for around 9 years, and I've stayed in many hotels. I think this will be my last stay at an APA hotel. Especially in the Akasaka-mitsuke area, there are other better options.
