Hotel Niwa Tokyo, Tokyo
Hotel Niwa is a Winner
This was the best hotel, the most charming, and the best value of all the hotels we stayed in in Japan. The buffet breakfast was wonderful, beautifully prepared and offering wonderful choices, every thing you could want and more. The rooms, though small, were beautifully layed out. We would definitely come again if we were back in Toyko.

Not best value for price or location
This hotel isn't as close to the Tokyo Train Station (main station) as it claims. A taxi or Uber is a must and costs around $40 each trip which adds up quickly. The standard room is too small and so is the bed. We had to pay a fortune to upgrade at check in to get a barely larger room and two beds that we could put next to each other. The corners were very dusty when we did that and were never cleaned. Also, the assistant manager was very shady about the cost of upgrading the room and availability. Breakfast was pretty good even though the same every morning. The concierge was nowhere to be seen and the receptionists were clueless about the tours that the hotel advertises for. I won't stay at this hotel again as most of the attractions are far from it and require public transportation which isn't cheap in Tokyo. It is definitely overpriced for what you get.

Stay here if you are in Tokyo.
Perfect stay and a great way to end my 3 week vacation in Japan. Friendly staff, quick check-in, clean and comfortable room, lounge area with massage chairs, delicious food, free cell phone for use while staying, breakfast included with room, walking distance to Chiyoda, and readily available convenience stores and restaurants. Oh, they also let you store your bag after checkout if you want to walk around the area more.

A perfect choice
Exceptional in every way. The staff were warm and helpful. The room was lovely and a nice size compared to what is standard in Japan. The breakfast was fantastic with many American and Japanese foods to choose from. I would highly recommend staying here. Nice quiet neighborhood and close to the subway. There is also a convenience store right next door for your essentials.
