Amity Lodge - very enjoyable
3 nights. Had an "apartment" so we could have 2 beds. felt safe. near a grocery store so could cook there (rather than eat out). easy walk to bus and shuttles, and Queenstown Hill trailhead. Probably my favorite accommodations during the 2 weeks we were in NZ.

Fantastic Owners, great place to stay
The owners are extremely helpful and courteous. The unit we stayed in was spacious, clean and had everything we needed.

Good hotel, but I'd look at other options next tim
Large room, but a little dated. Room has no air conditioning and will get hot if you don't close the curtains in the afternoon as the large glass windows face the sun. Owner very helpful and treats you like family. Hotel is a 7 minute walk to harbor. Walk back from town may be tough for those not in shape.

Warm cosy and safe accomodation
I travel a lot for business and as a female travelling on my own I was very happy with Amity Lodge. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. I felt extremely safe and secure in the accomodation with such lovely owners and their lovely dog who was no bother what so ever. The apartment was perfect for my stay as the lounge was very generous in size and being seperate from the bedroom made it easy to have visitors. My visitors appreciated the ease of parking on the street. The apartment was warm and cosy with great sun and views of the Gondala. Parking right outside my room and cardboard to cover windscreen from ice much appreciated. I will most certainly be staying here again on my next trip to Queenstown.

Not bad, but could be better
Great views, nice lakeside walks. The bed was not comfortable at all, advertised sauna and spa located outdoor and not really usable in winter. It's quite far away from the village center and walking for dinner might not be an option.
