The hotel is in a great location. The biggest problem is NO air conditioning.Speak to front desk and they advised not working, or it’s not on because late in the season. This wouldn’t have been a problem if we were able to open the windows and doors. Our unit was on the waterfront with lots of street lighting. Noise until 3-4am. So, opening door and windows wasn’t a choice unless you can sleep though all the light and noise.

My family and I stayed at this property for what was supposed to be 4 nights. We booked this property based on its excellent location and it checked all our boxes. After checking in and getting into our room, we soon noticed that there was no air conditioning in our rooms (something EXPEDIA validated that this hotel had). We asked the front desk and they said it was in the process of being fixed. Night time came, and still no AC. We travelled with our infant (5 months) who slept in a diaper and still screamed all night long because of how uncomfortable he was for 2 nights. We felt terrible for our neighbours who I’m sure did not get much sleep either. We once again asked the hotel what the deal was, this time extremely upset, and it was then that they had told us that the AC runs during the day and turns off at night - and there was nothing they could do about it. At this point, after being lied to, we ended up checking out a night early. The staff, minus a select few, are extremely rude and do not hesitate to lie to their guests. This hotel is very cute and authentic but other than the location, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Great location, decent breakfast, but other than that it’s not worth staying here. There is no air conditioning, but they tell you they will “fix it in 10 minutes”. It wasn’t until our last day they finally stopped lying and told us they turn it off at a certain point in the day. We had a baby with us, and I found this to be extremely disrespectful. The lack of air in the room makes for an extremely smelly room as well. It smelt of mould and was impossible to get rid of the smell. The rooms are quite old so I’m sure it was mould. Also - shame on Expedia for advertising the hotel as having air conditioning. The staff is ATROCIOUS - extremely rude and unaccommodating. I organized an airport transfer well in advance bc we needed a baby seat. We confirmed again the day before checkout that the driver would be there. The morning of our flight we were told we did not confirm (even though it’s in writing) and they had to call an emergency taxi that ended up costing us 60 euros more. They sit there and act dumb when they reaLize they are wrong. Absolutely disgusting!!!!!! There are other hotels along this strip which might be worth checking out, otherwise stay off the beach and take the walk daily. This hotel is a 2 star at MAX.

Extremely disappointing stay!
This was a very disappointing stay. My husband and I have travelled from Australia for our honeymoon and were very excited to stay in Cefalù. However, as soon as we arrived, we were questioned about our vaccination status (which we know that hotel check ins have nothing to do with this). We were pressured to take a covid test to prove a negative result which we did not do as we felt we did not need to prove that due to our consistent testing while traveling. We were also told that one lunch and/or dinner was included in the stay. We had lunch and double checked with the restaurant that it was included, to which they replied that it was inclusive but not including drinks which we were fine to pay for. At check out, we were forced to pay €58 for lunch which was an extremely underwhelming meal and if we had known, we would have gone to another restaurant and had a nicer meal. Once we questioned this at checkout, the staff spoke down at me and were extremely rude and dismissive of me. My husband (who doesn’t speak much Italian) tried to defend me, to which he was also belittled. We are so disappointed in the service and treatment at this hotel and will never recommend it. We have never made a complaint at any hotel but this has left us feeling very uncomfortable and we did not enjoy our stay in Cefalù due to this.
