Good and bad
My wife and I had a 3 night stay. Pros: The room was great and the bathroom was superb. Cons: My wife couldn't eat her breakfast because it was WAY overloaded with dill. They did offer a bowl of cereal, but didn't comp us. Also, our room key didn't work on the 2nd night so we had to go back downstairs to get it reset. This happened again on the 3rd night?? No sincere apology from the front desk. It seemed that we were bothering them?

What a jewel in the midst of Times Square. The service was outstanding, the room was quiet and comfortable and the location was ideal. We are now spoiled!

Great location and room!
Great experience at the Chatwal!! Location was spectacular in NYC. Everything was local to the hotel. Check in was a breeze. Staff was extremely helpful. Especially Michael and Ali at the front door. They were so attentive and made the visit even better than it could have been. The room was excellent. Very very clean. Nicely furnished. Spacious. The gym was small, but still nicely equipped.

Good hotel, lousy front desk
Two rooms, 3 nights, spent $3000 at the hotel. Requested high floor away from housekeeping and elevator. They put us on 5th, directly over the entrance and next to both the elevator AND housekeeping closet! Andy, the front manager, refused to change, yet plenty of available rooms. Front desk staff sucks on service but the rest of the hotel staff are awesome. Even at checkout, they acted confused. Bring earplugs or enjoy trash trucks, sirens, whistles and horns all night, followed by hallway noise in the early morning.
