Hopefully improvement after imminent refurb!
Location was perfect. Staff lovely. Booked a suite as a special treat and were very disappointed. Had the attic rooms, which gave spectacular views of the cathedral and castle but the room was so tired and lacking any personality. Bathroom was pretty awful. No water pressure (shower was completely pointless) and tiles looked like they were about to fall off the wall. Due to close next week for a big refurbishment and it really does need it. Very tired and shabby looking in places. Has the potential to be stunning though. Would like to revisit in the future to check out the improvements and hope they are sympathetic for this beautiful old building.

Enjoyable
A really nice old hotel 100 feet from the Cathedral. Great breakfast; free parking. It's old; the rooms are small, but nicely updated.There is nothing they can do about that! The beds are comfortable. The cathedral is epic.
