I just can not say enough BAD things
We went to the property @ 6:30pm the day of our reservation. No one answered the door. The sign on property had a different name. There were two phone numbers to call. Both were connected to a landscape company. We never talked to a person We left messages and never received any return calls. We were traveling without a car. A taxi brought us to the location. He was concerned and made some calls. Neighbors came out to express their concern informing us that this has happened to other guests. They also made calls. I made an international call to hotel.com to try to explain the situation and asked that they refund my paid reservation At this point the taxi left but I found a B&B with availability. I explained this to hotels.com. I was put on hold for over 10mins to see if any thing could be done. While on hold someone showed up to let us in There were apologizes We went to dinner then returned to room to find the TV and Wifi were not working. When we went down to breakfast the woman there started to yell at us telling us she could not possibly do breakfast for us at the time we requested the night before. She was rude. We left without even a cup of coffee

More of a Guest House than a B & B
The night guy who checked us in was quite nice, though the woman in the morning was rather cold and rushing us out the door. The place itself was more of a guest house than a B & B. The sign outside it says City Guest House, not Highlander B & B.

quiet room, excellent service
I stayed here for one night, and would have stayed longer if my schedule allowed it! I had a hard time finding it at first (winding roads and stairs), but it was worth it. I arrived an hour before check-in but was allowed into my room immediately. I was surprised how comfortable and quiet the room was for being in an older building. Breakfast was advertised as continental, but the manager cooked up eggs and scones. I definitely recommend Highlander B&B - it is worth

Highlander Inverness, PERMIT PARKING ONLY!!
The B&B was clean, basic, but we felt our money was well spent, the owner (manager?) was efficient and got us all squared away. The drawback to the location is that it is on a street, surrounded by many other streets all of which have permit parking only between 8am and 6pm. Rather than risk a ticket, we left early, choosing to skip breakfast for a quicker escape. Other than that, great location!
