Both night ans day trip reception staff are perfect. The hotel is a gistorical place, nice, clean, comfy. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I come back to Penang.

Wonderful hotel in Georgetown with a great staff
Great place to stay in Georgetown. It's historic and beautifully updated. The staff is wonderful - always willing to help. Nice pool that is well-maintained. Breakfast is included in their restaurant next to the hotel and includes eastern and western options We also had dinner in the restaurant on 3 nights and that was good as well. The hotel is convenient to the Georgetown night market, and the sights in Georgetown. Bus 101 will take you farther out to the beach or national park. If you need a change from Asian food, try Il Bacaro restaurant a few blocks from the hotel. There are many good places to eat in the area. There is a self-serve laundry down the street from the hotel.

Great staff!
The staff at Yeng Keng was fabulous! They went above and beyond to be helpful, ensure we had everything we needed, and highlight local attractions. One of the staff even helped me book an earlier flight home! Room was always clean, good wifi and AC, complimentary breakfast with lots of options.

Yeng Keng is a great place to stay while in Penang. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff Kellen and Yeoh are very friendly and helpful. They helped us make reservation of restaurants and gave us good suggestions on where to go, for eg, China House, and the nearby Joo Hooi coffee shop, which we liked much. The breakfast spread was very substantial and we really looked forward to the breakfast every morning. The room is very comfortable. The only downside to our room at #108 is that the WiFi is not strong and quite unstable. We had to stay close to the main door in order to be able to get the WiFi signal. The air-con unit is not connected to the main switch and hence it has to be switched on and off separately. Overall we still like Yeng Keng very much, as it is such a lovely heritage hotel.
