I have been to sunset plaza 4 times this the 5th was my last which is sad. It’s turning into a time share and they care more about that than keeping up the rooms and the cleaning . The wait staff was still wonderful but management in front NOT invested in the guests but themselves

We loved our stay and hope to return. Service was 8/10-couple of negatives with some of the pool servers but overall very good. Shout outs to Mario, Luis, Raymundo, and Fransisco. Pool area was our favorite, people start claiming chairs and beds as early as 6:30 am so be aware of that if you want a certain place to sit. Loved having the adults only pool are as there were lots of kids on property. Time share pitch for the “welcome breakfast” was light and when we said “we’d think about it” (our answer was no) they didn’t bother us again or pressure us. Food was 7/10-mostly good. Every night had different menus in the two restaurants and you could choose your preference. Lunch menu could be ordered by the pool. There is construction going on but not too terribly loud and easy to block out after a couple of margaritas. The resort next door was loud at night but I’m a good sleeper so it didn’t bother me much. Mixed drinks were good, wine not great and they make their mimosas with Sunny Delight which I was not a fan of. Every other couple we met had stayed there multiple times and we can now see why!! Looking forward to a return visit.

Sunset plaza is going thru an addition but we barely heard it throughout the day. The people were wonderful. All the servers, bartenders and front desk employees were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was good, drinks were good quality and not weak. We met alot of nice people who were members and we hope to see them next year when we book again!

food is subpar, there is not much of a verity, and they were consistently putting in foods that cause an allergic reactions, the waiters are too busy to get orders correct, I would have been really worried if we were not on an all inclusive as we were charged each time we had to get an order corrected.

The resort was beautiful, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I read several reviews before going that the staff was entitled to tips. I never got that vibe. Although we chose to tip throughout our stay. A $1-$5 tip goes a long way. Regardless, the staff were all wonderful and willing to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were very large and clean. The resort is smaller and only has one "main" restaurant (then an Italian, a small bistro and a small pizza place) but that main restaurant changes its menu daily and we never had a bad dish. The soups were AMAZING as well as the ceviche. The Italian restaurant that requires reservations was disappointing. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful, but the food at the main restaurant was much better. The resort next door owned by the same company is rather loud. You cannot hear it when down below in the restaurants and pools, but once you are in your room the music is pretty loud. Thankfully they stop playing sharply at 10:00 every night. All in all, we would definitely visit again.
