Excellent location. Nicely decorated hotel.

Nice older hotel, but HORRIBLE service!
Many stairs & poorly marked rooms made even finding our room a chore. No AC, so had to open windows that had no screens. Had dinner in the dining room & the service was horrible! Had the ice queen for our personality & didn't have a grasp on the English language. Asked her 3 separate times to split our still came as one bill. Then waited 45 minutes for a brownie & ice cream dessert...finally cancelled the order & asked for our check! The room was nice, with a large bathroom (a king suite), but the poor service made our stay less than we'd hoped. Oh, & it was our anniversary too! Also, had to pay for parking! If I had it to do over, I'd stay somewhere else.

A Gem in Old King's Lynn
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Duke's. It was our second stay. We so enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel and our room was excellent. The locale of the hotel is centred in King's Lynn historic Tuesday Market square. I have known the Duke's Head since childhood (60 years) and it has remained a gem of a hotel.

Generally good, but disappointing customer service
Our room was a small double and was much larger than expected. However, it was accessed up a narrow staircase with a sharp turn at the top, which I was not comfortable with particularly on the way down. We only had 2 coathangers, despite asking Jessica at reception for more every time we passed her over our 2 day stay. They never appeared! Breakfast was good, the public space was nice and staff on the whole were friendly.

The Dukes Head Hotel
Excellent location in heart of Town. Staff friendly. Hotel condition average, looks like do not has any refurbishment from 80 - 90ties last century. Very tiny room, really not enough space for two persons, with no ventilation in bathroom. Room was not really clean, in a bathroom find human discrete Hair in a Sink. Was a bit disappointed about additional charge for Parking. Hotel is overpriced for that quality.
