nhow Berlin, Berlin

This was easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The main plus of the hotel is that it's in an amazing location with Kreuzberg and the surrounding bar and restaurant districts all around. But that's about it. We arrived and were told right away that the room we had booked wasn't available - they do not have rooms with two beds, despite what hotels.com lists them as. After a lot of back and forth, we gave up and were upgraded to a junior suite, which we appreciated. But then we discovered that the air conditioner for the hotel was completely down. So we spent every night and morning roasting in the room. Just overall, a bizarrely disorganized and chaotic stay and I definitely won't book it again or recommended it to anyone.

When checking in, I agreed to pay extra to upgrade to a room with river view, only till I got to the room that I see the river view is from the side window. Front desk didn't tell me that. Also, the hotel room is much smaller than in the picture. Ridiculously small for more than 400 euros in Berlin. And it's really far from the airport by taxi. Took me more than an hour to the airport, a lot longer than what displayed at the front desk. Check out wasn't fast enough either.

We had a very nice weekend in Berlin. Our stay on nhow was a good choice because we went to a concert in Mercedes-Benz Arena with Helene Fischer. The hotel was quiet and was only 1 Kilometer from the arena. Besides we experienced the Berlin Wall. Nice 👍

great hotel, nice location

When I entered the room, it was icy cold. I turned on the heating and waited for 2 hours without luck. I called reception and they sent the bellboy who tried to help but couldn't do anything. At the first night, I reminded reception 3 times. They told me that technician will be available next day and there are no rooms available. On the second day, someone has turned on the heating again yet it was far away from heating the room. I contacted reception 6 times during my stay. Every time there was someone else on reception. None of them helped or seemed to do anything. Here is the chronogical list that receptionists have done: - He sent a bellboy who couldn't help. - He told me that, everything is fine. I went to my room and found out that noone has come to the room. - She told me it is not possible to change the room because the hotel is fully booked. - He told me there is nothing he can do as he told the technician and he doesn't know if it is done or not. - At checkout, she offered free parking. I believe either the hotel is cost cutting on heating and it is impossible to turn on the heating or staff is inexperienced and indifferent. Heating is the basics of the accommodation. It turns out to be that it is optional in Nhow Berlin. Other than that, breakfast is nice and plenty. There is 16 free parking spaces in front of the hotel. Rental car is handy as the hotel is far away from main attractions.
