Riverside calm with colonial character

Set in Barrio Real de San Carlos, the resort pairs a colonial motif with modern highlights, and an atria lobby finished in wood, stone, and leather, lit by oversized lanterns. Days can start with a breakfast buffet at Restaurante Cava Real, then drift toward the Río de la Plata, where rooms look out over the river or golf course.

  • Private beach on the Río

Step to a private beach area just 100 feet from the main facilities.

  • Dining with a wine-cellar twist

Cava Real pairs a wood-burning grill with a 120-plus-bottle cellar.

  • Real Spa reset time

Book reflexology or Shiatsu in a spa with 17 treatment rooms.

Nice place, friendly staff, family-oriented rather than couples-oriented. Some moments of truth were subpar for a 5 star hotel. It’s probably a 4.5 hotel, not 5.

4/10 Fair

Dissappointing

There are two things that disappointed me about this hotel. First the lack of cleaning and maintenance in general. Dirty windows and loose taps. Second, they told us that we could use the services and then they charged us an extra 20 dollars that they never notified in advance. I wouldn't go back.

4/10 Fair

Disappointing. They have really old tvs but front desk confirmed they do nothing. So you can’t relax in the room or connect your phone to them. The blow dryers don’t work. The tub is very old and looks rusty yellow. The robes need softener urgently. The staff hung up on me twice on random situations I had with the room. I wasn’t even arguing about them. Just very poor experience for a Sheraton. Expected something better kept together.
