Good stay
Very good value , public areas lovely rooms a bit dated, plain white bedding would enhance the look.

Lovely hotel and great staff! Ideally situated in Exeter. Only thing we did miss was a small bedside table on the other side of the bed and somewhere to hang damp coats. We’ve stayed at this hotel before(and will be again) and always find it great value.

Good for business but not for families :/
We stayed at St Andrews as we were travelling to Exeter for a comic con for my sons birthday. There was some confusion about the quadruple room, I was of the impression that there would be either a room with a double and twin beds or a room with a double and a sofa bed. I was shocked to end up with a room with twin beds and a sofa bed, I use sofa bed in the loosest sense as it was more like a cheap Z bed (not very comfortable) the kids however were very comfortable in the twin beds. The walk into town was a lot further than I anticipated and involved walking through underpasses (not ideal at night) Our originally idea was to spend the evening in Exeter and then walk home, but the area was getting more rowdy with lots of drunks around, so we decided to eat early and go back to the hotel with a bottle of wine. X factor on the TV sat on our Z bed! lol. On a plus the hotel itself was very presentable and clean and the breakfast was OK (cheap sausages) :/. Overall...this place is perfect for business travelers, but as a family, we wont be back.
