3 days at Sleeping Lady
Went with another couple from Kentucky. The mountainous atmosphere was fantastic and Leavenworth was charming. The only downfalls were the lack of a refrigerator and TV in the rooms. The Santa Rosa fires were happening and we had brought $120.00 of smoked salmon from Seattle to share and no place to keep it cold (we kept it I. The car). Also, the walkways are very dark at night and they give you a tiny flashlight to see to your room. No offer of help to get you there safely. The only food served in the restaurants is spendy buffets. We ate in Leavenworth. Location and art made up for most of it. Incredible location with great hike on the Icicle river/creek nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing
We were expecting a room with a loft but received a smaller room. We made a reservation for the restaurant on the premises thinking it would be fantastic, but it turned out to be lackluster. It was described as very busy and hard to get a reservation for but it turned out to be slow and they closed early which meant less fresh food than i would expect for the price. The rolls were hard, the waitress even admitted she had to search for some fresher ones. I wouldnt pay the price to eat there on a future visit. With all of that being said, the room was sufficient. It was relaxing and we loved the furniture as well as the style of the "cabin". There were plenty of towels and the heating was fantastic. They designed the room with the ability to dry all of your snow soaked clothes easily. There were hooks placed over the heating vents and towel warmers in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Even with the negatives, we would visit again.

Quiet and relaxing
This resort is very natural, and has a low enviornmental impact. Very quiet and we liked to walk the surrounding property and garden. Rooms are large and clean, the beds are hard and uncomfortable and the pillows are not comfy, no television, cable, or cell service, but they have excellent WiFi. There is a serene natural feel to it, we didn't get to eat at thier restaurant, because the menu isn't published until that morning and I have severe food allergies we had to avoid, and that wasn't very accommodating for planning a special anniversary dinner. It's not far from the center of town, but you will need to drive. The spa was excellent and made for a perfect day.

Loved that the hotel was away from town. Really felt that you were in the mountains. The Grotto was nice for drinks and dinner if you didn't want to go into town.

family getaway
The resort is beautiful, well maintained and the service is very good. By design, the rooms have only coffee makers, no microwave or refrigerators, no seating areas except the beds. The main floor of the loft room has a double bed and twin bed. Thus the only places to sit were the beds. Our experience would have been greatly improved if there were a sofa or chairs and coffee table in place of the twin bed; or a chair or sofa that could be made into a bed. T It would also be nice to have a small refrigerator,as there is always a need whether for leftovers or medications etc. We saw one family who had brought their own microwave. There is plenty to do and enjoy at the resort, but we would have spent more of our time there had the room been more amenable to famIly gathering. I've Overall it is a unique getaway and we consider going again, but probably without the kids.
