Shared bath means shared with 8 others.
This is more a hostel than a hotel. They should let you know that the bath is tiny and shared with 8 others so do the math. You may have to wait hours to get your turn, all while being lobbied by other guests about why they should go before you (you know my husband suffers from irritable bowel syndrome...). More intimacy with guests than I prefer. The place is extremely basic. Self-serve everything. Rooms are cell-like with a small reasonably comfortable bed, and basic little table and chair. Reading lamp may or may not be close to the bed. My room had only one electrical outlet so I had the choice of using the reading lamp or charging my electronics in the dark. After a call to the owners, they did let me have a multiple plug. Wifi connectivity was intermittent. No TV, no sitting room no shampoos or soap. They do allow each person one thin towel, but revoltingly expect all nine people to share one hand towel. Bath was wiped down daily, but it has nor seen a scrub in a while. Walls are very thin. Although guests were considerate, you could hear each time one opened a door, walked down the hall, used the bath or even spoke. The kind of place you really want to leave. Since owners/managers are off-site, the front door is left open for new guests and spare keys are left for those who get locked out of their rooms, so anyone can open any door any time.

Friendly staff and great location
I stayed here twice this summer. I've found the staff to be exceptionally helpful. I like the location and I've slept well here. The price is reasonable for the location. It is close to many cafes, a convenience store etc. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. They also have a place to hold your luggage which was extremely helpful as I had to fly to East Iceland for a few weeks and did not want to bring any more luggage than I absolutely needed.

Loved this place!!!!
Awesome location. Awesome place. The room was so cozy and had a great deck to sit and relax. Kitchen was huge and had lots of space for food and eating. I will most likely stay here again when I come back to Iceland. Everything was were they said it would be and had no problems with anything. Make sure you read parking signs because some places you had to pay and others you didnt. Great location too. Super close to downtown area! No need for car, just walk!

i stayed just one night, before my flight back home. it s clean but the rooms and shower are small. only one power outlet in my room and steep, narrow staircase are my main complaints. but it was cheap. so all in all - a good value.
