Very Good8.0
Small but well located
We had a very small room with an odd large step up into the bathroom. There isn't even much room to put a single suitcase. However, the location and price (for the area) is very good. The front desk is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is simple, but included hard boiled eggs.

Highly Recommended.
This was probably my best hotel experience in my entire Japan trip for its value. The room is small and cramped, but most hotels here are like that and I'm 6'1. However, my stay was extremely comfortable, they provided an excess of amenities, and the bathroom had very good water flow and hot water. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous, even by Japan standards. The location was super convenient, being next to Shinjuku Station with multiple main rail and subway lines. Also having Shinjuku Gyoen a literal two minute walk away was great. So was the 24 hour ramen shop on the same block. This place would probably be my #1 choice whenever I can make another trip to Japan. Strangely, the window to my room didn't open. But the air-conditioning in the room worked just fine and more than made up for it.

Although we stayed in a non-smoking room, the room smelled smoking. It was horrible.

Loved it
This hotel was perfect for our stay. My daughter and I stayed four nights here for our spring break trip to Tokyo. Location was close to subway, food, and shopping. Service was great. We would stay again!
