Great hotel!
You can tell that this hotel is a bit old. The room key is the old styled one. But everything is quite good. The room and bathroom are larger than those in other Japanese hotels. The complimentary breakfast is better than I expected. Staff are very nice. Close to Hommachi subway station.

hotel very good
From all the hotels we stayed in during our time in Japan, this was the most spacious. The bed was larger, room was bigger, and bathroom was huge. Everything was very clean and modern. The location is only a few blocks from a subway. The surrounding neighborhood isn't very interesting though. The free breakfast isn't anything fancy at all (bread, juice, coffee, yogurt, and salad) but it gets the job done.

Nice cosy boutique hotel.
It was a nice hotel. Close to subway and lots of restaurants as well. Not a super busy area.

Great hotel in Osaka!
We loved this hotel. I stayed there for 9 nights in March 2014 with my 20 year old daughter. We thought this 3* hotel was really charming, nicely decorated, nice lobby, good size room (we had the two double beds) and bathroom (both with wooden floors), beds were comfy enough (I read many comments about how hard the beds and pillows were and I was a little worried but we had no issue with that, I guess some people are more sensitive), the free (and good) breakfast was perfect to start our day and the location was really great, three minute walk from the subway (we preferred Honmachi Exit 1, once outside, go slightly to the right, take the street against traffic, about 150 m away, hotel will be on the right side, it is an orange building, look up, you will see the sign for Arietta). We did not need help from the staff so we had little to do with them but they seemed nice. To add to all the good comments, we had a health issue and stopped at the drugstore on the way to the subway and were helped by the nicest pharmacist who spoke good English. Highly recommended.
