Sankofa Aban Bed and Breakfast, Brooklyn
Exceptional10.0
This is my first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast. It was a great experience. We were greeted with great warmth and caring by Debbi. We were made comfortable throughout our stay. The Jazz Fest held Friday and Saturday nights is pure delight and enjoyment with awesome musicians using their gift to entertain. I recommend Sankofa Aban Bed & Breakfast. You will not be disappointed.

Sneaky Good Place to Stay
My Boyfriend and I Stayed for New Years and it was a great experience. The owner Debbie was so welcoming from the second we walked in the door. She gave us suggestions around the neighborhood and just made our stay very welcoming. We also had amazing privacy and it was an overall great experience. We will definitely stay here anytime we come into Brooklyn

Hostel not a B&B
Owner wasn't there to greet us (only saw her twice very briefly). No breakfast (should remove the word breakfast from the title). Keurig was available with powdered creamer. Communal bathroom ( EVERYONE used the same bathroom/shower, including the owner). Shower was more of a dribble than a spray. Received one bath towel at the beginning of our stay and had to keep using it every day. No was cloths. The only soap available was the same bar that all guests used. Yuck! The bathroom was full of personal toiletries that belonged to the owner. Twice I had to search the house for toilet paper because it was used up in the one and only bathroom. No maid service, I made the bed every morning. Only one working electrical outlet in the room. No lightbulb in the one and only lamp in the room. Very loud window a/c unit. Bad neighborhood and no restaurants. Can't lock your room when you're out for the day and there are people milling about the house at all times. People from the neighborhood can very easily walk into the house without anyone saying anything. I could go on but the bottom line is THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE HOSTEL IN A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD.
