Warmth and elegance.
Mostly I despise the modern hotel industry; it's pretentiousness and sterility. The Royal Albert was neither pretentious or sterile. It exuded character and genuine warmth. We will definitely being staying here again on our next trip to Brisbane.

SHAME ON YOU - Royal Albert Hotel !!!
Furniture in room broken, previously reported but not fixed before our 4 day stay. Washer old, extremely noisey, greasy inside. It ruined by wife's favourite linen cream suit. Hotel offered dry clean it, but it came back with top cream and trouses a dull yellow. They did nit comment on it hoping we would not notice it until after we checked out. The hotel then apologised and took the suit back, but we still have not got it back, nor have they initiated any contact with us re the problem. We are very disappointed with the hotel. My wife's linen suit purchase cost was well in excess of cost of our accommodation costs. I guess they are hoping that we don't follow up or taken any other action regarding my wife's linen suit. Shame on you... Royal Albert upper management!

Convenient, clean, good service hotel.
Overall a good stay. Just a suggestion - would be nice to put a wooden blind on the kitchen window for privacy as the office building across the road could see clearly when the lights are on. Oh, the chandeliers outside the room have got loose wires sticking out. That needs to be fixed.
