It was great.
I had read other reviews that said "Michael was wonderful." I thought maybe this guy was real handsome, and some of the "females" went a little overboard. It turns out they were right - Michael is wonderful, but for a different reason. He understands the 19th century concept of what it means to be an Inn-keeper - .e.g. - make sure everyone is happy. The room was very nice. They have about 11 HBO channels - how many places have that?? Yes.....the bathroom did not have a large counter-top to spread out all your mascara, lipstick, rouge, etc., but my wife seemed to manage with the 6 x 24 shelf they provided. Remember - this is an old hotel (1927), and the bathrooms are circa 1927 also. The rugs were clean, and the sheets were clean. The room was not large enough to play hockey in, but we did not go there for that. It had a refrigerator, and a small sink in an area that looked like a bar where you would mix drinks. All of the old pictures on the 2nd and 3rd floor are fantastic - -if you are a person that likes Old Movies, then you will be impressed. The only reason I would not give this place a perfect rating is because if I do, everyone will want to go there, and then they will raise the rates.

Great place to stay in Hollywood
Lovely old fashioned beautiful building with wonderful oversize photos of a bygone Hollywood era...love looking at the pictures of the old movie stars and imagine what it was like back in the 20's and 30's and 40's. The lobby is so artistic...in a vintage manner...the staff is very nice as well...all of them!

Excellent accommodationse
I was so impress with this hotel. What a beautiful hotel! It immediately reminded me of days long ago when Hollywood was starting to become known for its glamour. The photos of former Hollywood actor and actresses were wonderful to see and it made you if this walls could talk. All in all, my stay was great.

Do yourself a favor- Pass!
Ooof. What a rough ride. Between thin walls, internet that moved like dial-up circa 1994 (see photos), and a moldy smelling bathroom- I will never be staying here again. The customer service was also lacking as I raised these issues to the front dest and the guy who was working at the time couldn't care less.

My Trip
It’s a good area for work. I wish the hotel had GOOD COFFEE😩😩 & there isn’t a coffee place within walking distance 😢 Parking is very secure 🙏 BUT costs $18 A DAY😳😳😳 The Hotel is VERY cute. Nice lobby & I was greeted with a kind welcome. Decent room, CLEAN👍 The restaurant/bar is BEAUTIFUL & has awesome food. The vibe is totally cool. ALTHOUGH, one night I was looking forward to sitting at the bar BUT they were “allowing” a large group of “entertainment heads” to SCOUT the location. I’m in the business & understand scouts... YET I have not seen them have their actors run lines of a scene - taking up the entire bar. I moved to a table. I found it incredibly RUDE that The Edmon / Historic Hollywood Hotel allowed this to happen when THEIR PAYING customers were brushed aside & left to feel “in the way.” That was unacceptable. BUT there is an incredible restaurant on the same block that I decided to bring my business to ....”Osteria La Buca!” ~ total foodie place with excellent service ✔️🎯👍
