Great value of a hotel.
Nice rooms. Very fast and free internet. Free water in rooms is a plus. Helpful friendly staff. Online pictures of center court yard not fully accurate (photoshoped water where view of garage is), but really did not impact my positive view of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Can't beat the location.
This was a very convenient location between Davie and Robson, two interesting commercial areas. The Elysian Coffee and Burgoo Restaurant in the hotel also were excellent. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The central garden is a delight. The location is a bit noisy, as Burrad is a main boulevard, across the street from a hospital (ambulance siren noise) and the vacant lot behind the hotel attracts noisy late night loiterers.

Cute hotel in great locale
The Burrard is a cute midcentury oasis in downtown in a great location near restaurants, shops, and the ferry to Granville Island. We stayed in a double room, and it was more spacious than I imagined it would be. Bathroom is small, which is to be expected for a former motel. I requested a quiet room in the back of the hotel, but it is in the middle of the city, so hearing some city noise is inevitable. I was impressed at how much sound the windows block out, and I liked that you could open them for fresh air. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bikes are a nice amenity, and I really enjoyed the Nespresso, free bottled water, and wifi. The only issue we had was the bathtub getting clogged, but the housekeeper was so sweet about it, even leaving an apologetic note.
