Good mid price hotel.
The hotel is exactly what it purports to be. A renovated and upgraded 50s motel The rooms are on the small side but comfortable and clean. Had a few minor issues all handled by the friendly staff. My only personal issue was the mattress which I found to be to firm for my taste. Others found them ok. The location is fine and most things are walkable. Buses and taxis abound Hotels in Vancouver are not cheap especially in the summer season so don’t be surprised at the cost. It was well inline with other similar hotels and you could pay much more. Keep your expectations reasonable and you won’t be disappointed.

Sliding since Covid
This was a favourite spot of ours before Covid but this visit was disappointing. Still a fantastic location and fun vibe but the rooms felt dated and needed a refresh. The biggest disappointment was the inefficient front desk. Across the board, they all seemed poorly trained. Upon arrival, our reservation couldn't be located for 20 mins in spite of me showing the gentleman my email confirmation. We were unable to access the internet which was required for work and it became a production to get that restored. Upon checkout, it was a drama to obtain a receipt for our payment, with the young woman repeatedly telling me it was not possible. Obviously it was, and when I insisted she "miraculously" was able to print me a receipt. Poor customer service overall.
