Great location (in the center of the city next to the Opera House) ... and has a Starbucks right next to it.

Overall a great hotel with the best location... had a newly remodeled room which looked great, although a bit small. The cheap floor laminate unfortunately made the room look like a cheap 3* instead of the 4 or 5* it deserves. No espresso machine in the room :/ (only instant coffee). Would definitely stay again.

I travel extensively for business and leisure.Reside in the US( USA) with family in Europe, Romania. This was my first visit to Timisoara for a family event.Family( in Timisoara) recommended newer’boutique villas’ 10 min taxi drive from city center. My mother( born in Timisoara, lives in US) ,however, convinced me to stay in the heart of Timisoara in the city’s most historic hotel.. Hotel Timisoara. SO glad I listened to mom!The hotel is charming, historic, the staff attentive, helpful. The reception staff actually took our luggage in from the street into our room since the bellman was assisting other guests! We reserved a ‘1 room business apartment’ on orbitz for $128/ nt .. and were graciously upgraded to a ‘1room business SUITE’.. 2 full baths,walk-in shower, king bed,2 flatscreen tv’s, sweeping views from balcony directly overlooking Piata Victoriei ( right on top of starbucks):) The ac works Very Well( and is adjustable).Housekeeping very receptive to extra towels, soapThe hotel is ‘pet-friendly’.. we travel with our small dog.Breakfast was included, but since this was a vacation, we slept in,walked literally 100 feet from back entrance of hotel to an italian outdoor cafe(with cool misting ceiling sprays) with excellent specialty coffees, cappucinos, tiramisu, hazelnut cream with fresh whipped cream( puree de castane)-a local specialty.Tasty Lunch, dinners at historic Lloyd Restaurant(circa1926)400 yards away.Outdoor terrace with views ofPiataVictoriei.Charming stay.WillReturn

The picture that is shown is no the way that the hotel looks, the front has been demolished and extensive (and noisy) construction takes place right next to the property. Housekeeping is very laxing, the floors were not cleaned in a 4 days stay and in a couple of days, coffee cups were not washed and coffee not restocked. Not sure that I will comeback to this place.
