Convenient choice
Stay on our way to the west of Iceland. The neighborhood has couple great restaurants. The rooms had very bad sound proofing and you can hear the neighbors all night. We ended up have to knock at the wall to get them to quiet down

OK hotel, but we wished for more
It's a nice hotel in a small town of Vik. It's location can't be beat as there is a view of the black sand beach from the hotel itself. The room however left something to be desired. While we were OK with the standard room size (small) in Iceland, we wish the hotel would provide items such as bath soap and shampoo. We did not bring them fully expecting that the hotel would have them ready, so we had to buy from a nearby grocery store. It's not a big deal, but little things like this can add a nice touch to an already good hotel.

Convenient and good location
The hotel is joint with Icelandair hotel. The breakfast is good, and the location is very close to the scenic places. Gas station and supermarket are within couple of minutes drive away.

the older/cheaper side of the new Icelandair hotel
Great stop on the way back to city from glaciers - finally got to see the northern lights on the black sand beach close by. This smaller older hotel is attached to the new Icelandair hotel and shares check in/ restaurant etc so the services are very nice for the price but the rooms are a bit bare and smaller but clean and no problems
