Budget accommodation in Lisbon
I had a single room which may not be typical in size. I found it had to operate in the bathroom. The mattress was not comfortable. The area was the business district but with walking or the gray line bus the sights could be accessed. I was charged 6 euros more than quoted with no explanation.

A new hotel near Marquês de Pombal
This was my first time in Lisbon and I was quite tired before I got there, so I wanted a hotel with a jacuzzi. This proved a better choice than booking a spa hotel. The location was fantastic, especially if you've never been to Lisbon before and would like to take the tourist bus. (two of the major companies use the square as their first/final stop but there are some that don't) The metro is very near and you have access to two lines. I really liked the way the hotel is decorated too. The internet connection was good, I don't remember having any problems. One minor downside is that getting to the elevator requires taking a few steps, which is inconvenient with a suitcase. The reception is not on the ground floor so nobody will offer their help. You can use the metro for getting to/from the airport or many railway stations. If you have luggage you'll have to carry it up and down some stairs though.

A solo stay
This hotel is so clean. I was alone and my family were staying at a 5 star hotel about 10 mins away (I could not get a room). The staff were so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. I caught taxis back and forth to be with my family and have no idead about the area. Easy access and good airconditioner as it was quite hot. Was a little noisey but it was a large unit in a small room and did the job. Bathroom very clean. Free wifi which was always working. TV in the room but not much in English. Only fault, no refrigerator in the room.

It was OK
This is an ok place to stay. The shower is crazy weird though, and super low flow. It is also an awkward check in process, as you have to get buzzed in multiple times. It was clean and comfortable, decent room size. Cleaning crew was very loud in the morning, every morning, so don't plan to sleep in. It's close enough to the attractions, but you'll have to walk to get to the good stuff. Wifi was fantastic. It was cheaper than the rest that offered the same amenities, I might stay here again...

Nice hotel very central
Good hotel, the room was very clean and the comfortable. Pretty quiet even though we were near a fairly busy street. The hotel doesn't have tea or coffee making facilities or provide breakfast but there is a good bakery 2 doors down plus 2 supermarkets within easy walking distance. The shower is over a tiny bath cubicle but it was warm and powerful. Hotel is within walking distance of the metro which was really handy. A very good reasonably priced hotel.
