We where a group of friends traveling to Esbjerg. We rented 3 rooms for 4 nights. There is a substantial quality difference in the rooms as one section of the hotel is renovated and the other section is not. I paid extra for my room as I went for the upgrade “ captain’s room”. I would not recommend doing that as there was no noticeable difference in the room size or quality. Beds are small, but somewhat comfortable. Bathroom was absolutely discussing. Moldy tiles and also a strong smell of mold form the bathroom. The bathroom floor also slopes away from the drain, so water is running into the room when you take a shower. Bathroom was so nasty that I felt like I needed a shower after I got out of the shower. The rooms are also extremely hot, as there is no A/C or fan in the room. Noisy. There is also a lot of noice from the nearby city center. And we got woken up by the police escorting a drunk person out of the hotel at 2AM. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as the only thing worse than the hotel standard was the attitude of the staff.
