Just Keep Looking
It looked really nice in the pictures but reality is different. People living in the room next to ours leaving trash all over, a broken down bbq, selling ‘something’ out of their room at all hours of the night. I should have known we were in for a lame experience when I noticed complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand. It was really disappointing overall and not a safe feeling place to spend a night.

a little gem. Old structure completely remodeled and updated. A little noisy from the road and they give you ear plugs which helped/ Had an issue with the tv and the front desk clerk walked back to my room and showed me the angle need to access with the remote.

Good value - Muir Lodge Motel
Quick check-in/out. Ample amount of parking spaces available. Hotel outside look unimpressive but it's located in a safe neighborhood. Inside have just been renovated and is kept clean. Not fancy but practical. Comfy bed & pillows, clean towels, high rain shower head, sufficient electrical/USB outlets, good wi-fi, hair dryer, good TV channels, small microwave and fridge. Hotel also provide 2 bottles of water and 2 pastries per room. Jack-In-The-Box is adjacent to the hotel. John Muir's former residence, a national historic site, is within walking distance from the hotel (short film, house and tour are quite interesting). One small area for improvement - door. Conversations outside our room at 7am, which lasted for 30mins were quite loud. Fortunately we were up already. Conclusion: Service and price is good, will be back if we're in the area again.
