Highly recommend!
Everything was wonderful at the Sandton Brussels Centre. The only downside was there was a lot of lighting in the room (mini-fridge and nightlights on both sides of the bed) that could not be darkened at night. Other than that minor complaint, I would give the hotel very high marks on service, comfort, and location.

Great Little Gem
This place was perfect! I didn't recognize this chain of boutique hotels, but I'll keep my eye out for them from now on. The room was great: lots of space, a very comfortable big bed, even a little refrigerator. Excellent location: only 2 blocks from the central train station, 1.5 blocks from the cathedral, about 8 blocks from the art museums, 8 blocks to the Grote Markt. Super convenient. On a small street, so very quiet after 5 o'clock. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Worth a Stay
It's a decent hotel for a good price. Very simple and not overly extravagant, but it works for the budget. Also, when we checked in at about 18:00, the first room they gave us was never cleaned, but they were very apologetic and got us a new room. Unfortunately, the second room had a nasty used bandage on the floor. It was a little off-putting, but otherwise the room was clean, and we didn't feel like going back downstairs to complain, so I picked it up and accepted our fate. It seems like the place is usually nice, we just drew some sort of short straw that day. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is nice, convenient, and safe, and they have all the amenities of a normal hotel (but, again, it's extremely basic). It's clean and comfortable and it doesn't feel gross and cheap. Come here for a place to crash and save your money for your trip...just don't expect the Hilton.

Nice stay in Brussels center.
I liked this hotel a lot. It is very central and right across street from Central Station. Staff were great and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. Bed was two twins so that might not be good for a couple, though it was firm and good. Bathroom is sizable. Room service was helpful even at late times of day. The area is quiet except for the morning bells of the church nearby, but they are easily quieted by keeping windows shut.

Shelves Needed.
The Sandton is a lovely hotel in every particular except one. The shower needs shelves to hold soap, shampoo, etc, as well as something on the floor to give traction while showering. More than once I nearly slipped and fell, and it was a royal nuisance to have to bend and pick up soap and shampoo on the shower floor. A handicapped person would be in dire straits in that shower.
