Great location.
Great service, Vivian was training people and she was very good and knowledgeable. She made sure to explain areas around for recommendations for dinner.

Lovely, classic hotel with loads of character!
Loved, loved, loved winding up the little spiral staircase to our room. The building has great character and is a super convenient location – for walkability and transit to other neighborhoods but also SUPER easy to get to and from the airport FAST because you can take the express train to Heathrow from Paddington Station. It was a great first introduction to London, definitely doesn't feel like an American hotel in all the best ways. Charm level is high. It has tons of character but is also modest. However the lobby and common spaces are super cool with interesting paintings and decor. (If you don't like stairs though, I would not recommend.) Staff was great and friendly and helped us with our bags up the stairs. It was also helpful to be able to stow our luggage on our last day in town. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. We miss it already.

It worked for us
Location is great. Breakfast is average. Room small but adequate. Complimentary coffee and tea in room was nice but they did not replenish what was used. Also did not leave extra toilet paper.

Hotel is good value for the price. Breakfast is bare bones, but enough to get you to lunch. Location is convinent to Paddington Station and Lancaster Court which provides Underground access on 3 lines (Circle, Barkerloo, and Central)

I was only in London for one night by myself. The hotel was very accommodating as I arrived before my room was ready. They held my bag for me so that I could start my sightseeing. The lady at the desk pulled out a map, told me the routes to take and where to go first. My room was VERY SMALL - but I didn’t need much space and it had its own toilet with a shower. Conveniently located near two different Tube stops and across from Hyde Park.
