The Victoria Hotel, Canterbury
Very Good8.0
The Victoria Hotel is great for walking down to the cathedral area. During the day there is a footpath through a garden (which closes at 6:30 pm) to the city. There’s not around the immediate area of the hotel. The building is quite charming, but needs some upkeep, as in fresh paint and new carpet. It was clean and the staff friendly.

The Victoria Hotel, Canterbury
Really enjoyed our room, nice size, clean and bed comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, saved us some money in town with discount vouchers for several attractions. Good restaurant and bar. Nice outdoor garden to sit in. Easy walk to downtown Canterbury. Would recommend. Good wi fi in the room. They already had a fan in the room, experiencing a heat wave at the moment. Nice breakfast bar.

Comfortable Place
The hotel is near the downtown area and the Cathedral, but a car is still necessary. The restaurant and bar are available year ‘round, even on holidays. The staff is most accommodating and the desk clerks are knowledgeable about the area and where the gas stations are. The room itself is comfortable, and the bath has a rain shower head. The warmth and friendliness of the staff attest to this not being a business hotel. You will NOT be treated as a number or as insignificant. We will most definitely stay here again.

Canterbury part of our England trip
Everything was good except disappointed with dinner so only dined one night. One mushroom in a dish that was on the menu as mushrooms - fish pie didn't contain the fish stated on the menu. Staff were excellent and helpful.
