Chelsea Savoy Hotel, New York
Convenience is the key here.
Air conditioner very noisy, we wore earplugs. The area was very convenient to the sights we were interested in or very close to subway when needed. Breakfast was fresh, but very limited in choices to bread, coffee, milk.

Great location, great value
I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice and comfortable it was. Staff was friendly. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated, some furniture. The carpet had a big 6-8" chunk torn up and apparently glued back down plus a large waterstain. Staff said they are in the process of upgrading the flooring. Hotel location was great! Ice on the first floor requiring a few extra elevator trips from our 6th floor room. Subway entrance right outside the door. Great restaurants nearby; Excellent Dumplings and Restivo Ristorante just across the street. Excellent Dumplings rivaled the food we had in Asia! Chelsea is a good area to stay in to be close but to get out of the Times Square craziness. Just a few blocks from Penn Station where we were catching the train home.

Very Good8.0
Good and well located hotel
The hotel is clean and confortable, well located and with agreeable employees. The only negative point was the very simple breakfast.

Chelsea Savoy NYC
On the whole my stay at the Chelsea Savoy was okay. The location was very convenient and there were a lot of places to get food, train station just outside of the hotel, and not too far away walk from Times Square. The rooms were generally nice, comfortable beds, didn't feel too squished. The offerings at breakfast could have been a little nicer. Just case with some okay muffins, Bagels but no toaster, and coffee and tea. My only real issue though was that in the two rooms I have rented for myself and our friends, in one room on the sheet and in another room on a pillowcase we found what appeared to be blood stains. The staff was alerted and they very quickly came in and changed the Linens. It was just a disturbing thing to see upon first getting into the room. Other than a common area off of the lobby, no real amenities to speak of. On the whole it was not terrible, it just wasn't great either. But if you're looking for a place that is convenient just to sleep in between adventures in the city, you could do worse
