First ever visit to a BnB! I love St. Augustine and was very pleased! Rich was nice enough to let me arrive early and just park on the property so i could go explore before i checked into my room at 3p. Right near the lightner museum and easy walking distance to everything. Super clean, great breakfast and i was greeted by Rich's two puppies! (which just went with dad to work that day). I also met Claire the owner and her pup Gauge. 4-6 is wine social hr with cookies/cakes. Water and teas are also always available. Beautiful place. Everyone was very kind and informative. I was travelling solo so the fact that i felt more than safe and at home was just what i needed!

A Lovely Stay for a Penny Farthing
We were 3 friends celebrating our birthdays in St. Augustine. From the moment of our arrival we were treated like family by the Penny Farthing proprietors. We were given a brief overview of our reservation, and a tour of the property. The rooms were immaculately clean, and decorated beautifully. Our suite was the Penny Attic on the very top floor of the house. There were several landings on the long staircase on the way to the top. After we set down our bags in our room, we went back down to the reception room for complimentary wine, cheese, and pastries. We met the other guests staying at the property and talked for a couple of hours before heading back upstairs to our private balcony to watch the sunset. The top of the house provided us with fresh air, a cool breeze, and comfortable seating in the sun. The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast that included french toast with berry compote, and fresh fruit. The next morning's breakfast included sausage and spinach quiche, with fresh berries and cut citrus fruits. The Penny Farthing was a 2 minute walk to Flaglier College campus, and a 5 minute walk to the water front marina dining and shops. The complimentary parking made it easy for us to leave the car without a worry and travel around on foot.
