MISLEAD BY THE W... SHOULD BE CALLED THE L (loser)
The extra star is for the friendly staff. FIRST, there is no parking at the hotel and the website is misleading as it FAILS TO SPECIFY that you MUST park around the corner with people that simply are not friendly. Why not just let us know up front. SECOND, the room was shitty! Holes in the curtains allowed unwanted light to wake our asses up in the AM when we wished to sleep in. THIRD, and more egregious, NO DINING OPTION OR KITCHEN! Renovations happen, but let people know. I brought my wife here for our anniversary and their limited kitchen disclosure at the front desk is bagels and free coffee... For what we paid to stay here that, it is criminal that this is what we get. I am not a complainer, but I will post pics to verify the holes etc. TRAVELERS BEWARE.

Kitchen was down, yet we did not receive any compensation for this inconvenience. Also there were no welcome gift bags. Overall disappointing experience compared to our stays at other W hotels.

Convenient, comfortable in Downtown.
Nice new hotel right across from 9/11 memorial. Convenient to all parts downtown and just 15 min cab to midtown. Smaller, but not cramped. Rooms are minimalist with all white interiors (they could do a better job cleaning scuffs, etc), but comfortable and clean. Staff was attentive and courteous. No issues with check in or out. Had double room with view of memorial on upper floor. There are residences here - which is typical in Manhattan - but they are top floors and have separate elevators. With all the choices in Manhattan - if you are looking for branded hotel and can find a decent rate here, I wouldn’t hesitate to book.
