Charming Characterful Canal House
The House is easy to find and is easy walking from Centraal Stn. The welcome was warm and the house is so traditional with many lovely features. We were also allowed to leave our bags after check out and pick them up later than we agreed. Our mistake was gently tolerated. The host was affable and easy to get along with. English of course being excellent for non Dutch speakers The room we had was ideal with 4 parts to it so space is not an issue apart from the toilet which is tiny. There are a few tiny fixture issues like lights being in need of mending in small ways but the house is old of course. The instant Coffee could be a little fresher too. Small things that didn't detract me but would make it perfect if fixed. The area is quiet but also has restaurants and cafes and the coolest cocktail bar Hiding in Plain Sight. Try Tony's Bagels for breakfast, will refill filter coffee and the Diamond Tour also close by. The house looks out over the IJ and also the East India VOC house so not bad at all. I loved it but would love it more with a bit more polish.

Exceptional 10.0
The room was awesome, the decoration, cleanliness, the bed was super comfortable, and walking distance form Central Station and most city attractions. Our restroom was tiny and outside our room, but was just for us. We also had a kitchen in case you wanted to bring something. Things to be aware are, you need to contact the owner to schedule your check-in time, this is not a hotel with 24/7 check-in, its a private house, if you don't do that in advance you take the risk that nobody would be there to open the door for you. For large people, people with some disabilities, or people with big luggage it may be a problem going up/down the stairs, there are super tiny and difficult to climb. And if you need to leave your luggage after check out, be sure to let the owner know in advance. Overall is a Nice apartment.

We loved it!
My daughters (8 & 11) and I stayed at the suite on the top floor, which has a dining area, kitchen and a living/sleeping area. We absolutely loved it! The entire house is so charming and unique, just what we were hoping for. Climbing up the steep staircases, watching the boats go by on the canal from our window at night - couldn't have asked for a more exciting experience. Central location, easy to walk to from the train station, restaurants and cafes near by. Due to our train being delayed, we arrived later than we were supposed to, but the manager, Tuhami was so sweet and helpful when we finally got there to check in. We wished we could have stayed longer and def plan on coming back to Amsterdam and the De Baronie! Dank u wel!

Poor 2.0
I can’t say enough about how disappointed we were with this place!!! DON’T STAY HERE!Not only did they sent an email with a disconnected phone number and email to RSVP for our arrival. But the owner charged us €33 for our infant son as an “additional person”. No breakfast and poor internet. The caretakers were nice enough, but we checked out early the next morning to our new hotel: 4 stars, complementary smartphone, and a gift for our little one (not a bill). If you want a comfortable stay close to transit stay at the Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel for a cheaper price which includes breakfast, pleasant staff, great service and don’t try to hit you with extra charges!!!! BTW the new email is: info@bbdebaronie.com.

Our Special Place In Amsterdam!
This was a very charming B&B! The building was built in 1672 for an Admiral. The owner was super nice every time we saw him. He gave us some history and suggestions of places to go. This is a B&B, not a Hilton, so don’t expect a corporate hotel. It is far enough from the madness of Red Light to be a bit more quiet. Honestly when we go back we will stay there again. I loved the old building and spiral staircase. He offered free coffee and tea in the room and had stocked soda and water for sale. We were given fresh towels and soap and toilet paper. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.
