Very comfortable stay at the Hotel Garibaldi
Lovely hotel and the staff was great! Three "hiccups" - 1). Hotels.com "held" the funds that I had transferred to cover the room, but didn't release them on check-in day so we couldn't check-in until I transferred more funds. Not cool, Hotels.com. I'd rather have had the option to pay for the room in advance instead of "pay at check-in". The staff was great and worked with us though. 2). The main room light was burning out, and it would strobe/flicker every time we turned in on. We decided to remove the bulb instead of having someone come to our room in the middle of the night, then staff know when we checked out. 3). The pool was closed for maintenance, but we never saw anyone working on it...bummed that we couldn't swim or use the spa. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Their lobby is beautiful, with comfortable furnishing and a fireplace. The full breakfast got us ready for our adventures each day - yay for waffles! Will definitely stay there again.

Sweet gem and warm cookies
This hotel right when you walk in is inviting. The wallpaper behind the front desk is amazing. The pool, hot tub and sauna is well maintained. There is warm, greasy cookies at 4, and the breakfast and coffee was good. The front desk staff is friendly and had good recommendations for getting to the beach and finding an oyster shooter. Garbaldi is a great working town with splashes of charm and fog lines trees. We will be back!

When we arrived the power was out hopefully to come on in a couple of hours it never did. We received no compensation for a cold room with cold water not even coffee or any attempt at breakfast. We asked for a discount and was refused. Be ware!

Garabaldi hotel stay
Jereme, was at the desk when we arrived after spending 11 hours in a winter storm getting to our destination. He was excellent in helping us getting settled in. If I knew who his boss is, I would tell him that if he was working for me I would not let him get away, because he has what takes that would make a person want to come back and at that establishment again.

Mixed Bag of Good & Bad!
Our stay here was such a "mixed bag". The gift card we brought to use wasn't readily accepted. Heather, the front desk clerk both afternoons we were there was awesome, accommodating, eager to please and apologetic when things weren't satisfactory. The Breakfast room experience was extremely disappointing - aside from the coffee and waffles, all the other "allegedly" hot food was terrible - limp, cold bacon, rubbery eggs (which they ran out of and didn't replenish), cold biscuits, warm gravy, undercooked sausage patties. They were out of syrup and even after asking for some none was forthcoming. We aren't particularly picky eaters but the food & service were not good either morning. We also mentioned no paper towels by the sink or in the downstairs bathroom but they also didn't get replaced. The room was clean, beds super comfy, toiletries lovely, but the blinds were broken and didn't reach down to the sill to block out light. The lobby was gorgeous & welcoming; the hot tub not so much. The outside of the hotel was completely underwhelming & we weren't even sure that was the front entrance. Like I said, there was good and bad; mixed bag.

I was so looking forward to using the hot tub after a long day of travel. Very disappointed when I went down to get in and not only was it dirty but it was not hot and did not smell as if any chlorine had been used. I changed my mind quickly. The pool also was dirty. I did see someone setting in the sauna but I did not check it out. The next morning there was an out of order sign on the pool area.
